Description
3-Aminobenzamineisaninhibitorofpoly(ADP)-ribosylpolymerase(PARP)thatexhibitscytoprotective,anti-atherosclerotic,andanticanceractivities.3-AminobenzamidepreventsUV-inducedcelldeathinvitroandinhibitsTGF-β1-inducedphosphorylationofSmad3inothercellularmodels.Invivo,thiscompoundinhibitsproductionofinflammatorycytokines,suppressesPARPactivation,anddecreasesatheroscleroticlesionsize.Additionally,3-aminobenzamideinducesG1phasecellcyclearrest,downregulatesexpressionofcyclinD1,β-catenin,c-Jun,c-Myc,andId2,upregulatesexpressionofp21andgenesinvolvedindifferentiation,andinducesdifferentiationinosteosarcomacells.
