Description
10-GingerolisoriginallyfoundinspeciesofZingiber;itexhibitsantiemetic,anticancer,antioxidative,anti-inflammatory,andantibioticactivities.10-GingerolincreasesrADIcalscavengingofsuperoxideandhydroxylradicals,inhibitsoxidativeburstactivity,anddecreasesexpressionofNOandPGE2invitro.10-Gingerolalsoinhibits5-HT3receptors.Additionally,10-gingerolinhibitsproliferationinbreastadenocarcinomacells.ThiscompoundalsodisplaysantibacterialefficacyagainstgramnegativebacteriasuchasPorphyromonasandPrevotella.
