Description
Spironolactone is a diuretic that inhibits aldosterone receptors, mineralocorticoid receptors, androgen receptors, and endothelial Na+ channels (ENaCs). Spironolactone exhibits antihypertensive activity and is clinically used to treat heart failure. Spironolactone may inhibit voltage-gated Ca2+ channels.
