Description
α-Galactosylceramide is a synthetic glycolipid found in Agelas mauritanius and other marine sponges. α-Galactosylceramide exhibits immunostimulatory activity, binding CD1d on antigen-presenting cells such as NK cells. This compound is also used to tag or stain immune cells in research models.
