Description
Amlexanoxisanazoxanthonederivativethatisusedtotreatrecurringaphthousulcerandasthma.AmlexanoxaltersCytoskeletonfunctionandinhibitscellmigrationandproliferationthroughbindingtoS100A12andS100A13proteinsandattenuationofactinstressfiberformationandFGF1release.Amlexanoxmayexhibititsanti-allergicactivitythroughinhibitionof5-and12-lipoxygenase,andalsothroughinhibitionofhistaminereleasefrommastcells.Thiscompoundalsodisplaysanti-obesityandanti-diabeticpropertiesthroughitsinhibitionofTANK-bindingkinase1(TBK1)andIκBkinase(IKK);thisactivityincreasesenergyexpenditure,Thermogenesis,andweightloss,andalsoimprovesinsulinsensitivity.
