Description
Deshydroxy LY-411575 is a γ-secretase inhibitor that suppresses Notch signaling and exhibits neuroprotective, anti-diabetic, anti-fibrotic, and cardioprotective activities. In animal models of type 2 diabetes, deshydroxy LY-411575 increases GLP-1-producing intestinal L cells and improves glucose tolerance and the glucose-stimulated insulin response. In animal models of chronic kidney disease, this compound prevents increases in collagen, fibronectin, and α-SMA, suppressing the development of fibrosis. Deshydroxy LY-411575 also inhibits the formation of abdominal aortic aneurysms and suppresses AT-II-induced angiogenesis and Th4-specific immune responses in animal models of aging.
