Description
Amorolfine is an antifungal compound that prevents ergosterol synthesis through the inhibition of sterol 14α-demethylase. Amorolfine increases release of prostaglandin D2 metabolites, inhibiting release of thromboxane B2 (TxB2), activation of NF-κB, and production of thymic stromal lymphopoietin; as a result, inflammation in atopic dermatitis models is decreased.
