Description
Tobramycinisanaminoglycosideantibioticthatexhibitsantibacterialandanti-inflammatoryactivities.Tobramycinpreventsformationofthe70Sbacterialribosomalcomplex,inhibitingproteintranslation;itishighlyeffectiveinthetreatmentofPseudomonasinfections.Invitro,tobramycininhibitsTcellandneutrophilmigration.Inseparatecellularmodels,thiscompoundalsodecreasesactivationofNF-κB,expressionofMUC5AC,andphosphorylationofERKandp38MAPK.
