Description
Valacyclovir is an antiviral compound that is clinically used to treat infection of the Varicella-zoster virus. This compound is a prodrug for acyclovir. Valacyclovir also inhibits neuraminidase and displays efficacy against other viruses such as herpes simplex virus and HIV-1.
