KN-93isaninhibitorofcalmodulin-dependentkinaseII(CaMKII);itmayalsoinhibitL-typeCa2+channels.KN-93exhibitsanticancer,anti-arrhythmic,cardiomodulatory,antinociceptive,andimmunomodulatoryactivities.Invitro,KN-93decreasesVEGFexpression.WhencombinedwithVEGFinhibitors,thiscompounddecreasestumorgrowthinanimalmodelsofcancer.Inotheranimalmodels,KN-93preventsthedevelopmentofarrhythmiaandincreaseslevelsofTregcells.KN-93alsoincreaseswithdrawallatencyinanimalmodelsofthermalandmechanicalpain.
