Description
R-Sulforaphaneisanaturally-occurringisothiocyanatefoundinbroccoli.Thiscompoundexhibitsantioxidative,anticancer,andchemopreventiveactivities;researchsuggeststhatitmaybemorebioactivethantheS-isomer.R-SulforaphaneincreasesexpressionofphaseIIenzymessuchasglutathione-S-transferaseandquinonereductase;italsoincreasesactivityandexpressionofglucuronosyltransferaseandepoxidehydrolase.Atlowdoses,R-sulforaphanepromotesproliferationofstemcellsandhematopoiesis.Thiscompoundalsoinhibitsthearylhydrocarbonreceptor.Pleasenote:Thiscompoundisaneatliquidatroomtemperature,cleartoslightlyyellowincolor.Itisnotdissolvedinsolvent.InsmallquantitiesthematerialwillcoatthesidesoftheampuleitisshippedinandmayappeartobeinvisIBLe,oritmaybetrappedinthetipoftheampoule.Washtheupperandlowerpartsoftheampoulewithsolventtoensureallofthematerialisobtained.
