Description
Tozasertibisananticancerchemotherapeuticpan-aurorakinase(AurK)inhibitorthatalsoinhibitsFMS-liketyrosinekinase3(FLT3)andAbl.Tozasertibiscurrentlyinclinicaltrialsasapotentialtreatmentforacutelymphoblasticleukemia(ALL).Incellularmodelsofcancer,tozasertibactivatescaspase-3andPARPanddecreasesexpressionofHDAC,increasingapoptosisandinhibitingcellgrowth.Inothercellularmodels,tozasertibinhibitscellproliferationandmetastasisbyblockingdownstreamERKsignalinganddownregulatingcdc25candcyclinB.Thiscompoundalsodecreasestumorgrowthinaninvivomodelofprostatecancer.
