Description
Famotidine is an antagonist at histamine H2 receptors that exhibits antacid and antioxidative activities. Famotidine inhibits gastric acid production and is clinically used to treat ulcers and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Famotidine also inhibits GSK-3β and suppresses radiation-induced DNA damage.
