Description
Galantide is a nonselective peptide antagonist at the galanin receptor. Galantide inhibits opioid-induced antinociception in vivo. Galantide exhibits neuromodulatory, cognition enhancing, and gastrointestinal motility modulating activities. In animal models, galantide improves memory function in social recognition tasks. Additionally, this compound induces contractions in gastric smooth muscle.
