Description
Ginkgolide J is a terpene lactone found in Ginkgo biloba. Ginkgolide J exhibits neuroprotective and antioxidative activities. Ginkgolide J prevents amyloid-β (Aβ)-induced cell death in cellular models of Alzheimer’s disease. In other cellular models, ginkgolide J inhibits the formation of superoxide and hydroperoxyl radicals.
