Description
Octaneuropeptide exhibits anorexigenic activity and may also display epileptogenic potential. Octaneuropeptide is a C-terminal fragment of octadecaneuropeptide, a derivative of diazepam-binding inhibitor (DBI). Octaneuropeptide increases intracellular Ca2+ levels in astrocytes in a PLC-dependent manner.
