Description
Peptidehistidineisoleucine(PHI)isanendogenousbrain-gutpeptidethatactivatesVPAC2receptors.PHIexhibitsanorexigenicactivityinvivo,decreasingfeedingbehaviorinanoxytocin-mediatedmanner.PHIalsodecreasescaspase3activityandincreasesglutamatetransporter(GLT-1a)activityinvitro.ThispeptideinhibitsproliferationofneuroblastomacellsinaMAPK-mediatedmannerandappearstoplayaroleincircADIanrhythmmanagement.
