Description
Ranatensin is a peptide originally found in amphibian skin that exhibits gastrointestinal motility modulating activity. Ranatensin stimulates Cl- secretion in the jejunum in a GRP-related manner. Ranatensin also stimulates secretion of gastrin, pancreatic polypeptide, and gastric acid in animal models.
