Description
Radicicol is an analog of benzoquinone ansamycin that inhibits HSP90, Src family kinases, and Raf. Radicicol exhibits neuroprotective, antibiotic, antifungal, anti-parasitic, and antimalarial activities. In Plasmodium, radicicol targets topoisomerase VI-B, inhibiting mitochondrial replication. Radicicol also increases survival and neurite outgrowth of neurons in chick embryos.
