Description
Sermorelinisasynthetic28-aminoacidpeptideanalogofgrowthhormone-releasinghormone(GHRH).Sermorelinexhibitsimmunomodulatoryandpro-angiogenicactivities.Invivo,sermorelinstimulatessecretionofgrowthhormonefromthepituitarygland;italsoincreasesIGF-1secretionandincreasesthenumberofactivatedimmunecellsincirculation.SermorelininduceshistaminereleasefrommastcellsinaCa2+-dependentmanner.Additionally,thispeptideincreasessecretionofVEGFandchromograninA,increasingproliferationinneuroendocrinetumorcells.
