Description
Lofexidine is an agonist at α2-adrenergic receptors that exhibits antihypertensive activity. Lofexidine is currently under examination as a treatment of opioid withdrawal. In animal models, lofexidine inhibits stress-induced reinstatement and self-administration of drug use.
