Description
Mdivi-1isaquinazolinoneinhibitorofmitochondrialdivisionthatpreventsmitochondrialfissionandexhibitsneuroprotective,cardioprotective,andanti-metastaticproperties.Inspinalcordinjurymodels,Mdivi-1decreasesneuronalapoptosisandamelioratesmotordysfunction.Inanimalmodelsofmyocardialinfarction,thiscompounddecreasesoxidativedamage,enhancesmyocardialperformance,andimprovesoverallsurvivalrates.Mdivi-1alsoinhibitshypoxia-inducedmigrationinbreastcancercellsandimprovestheactivityofotherco-admiNISTeredchemotherapeutics.
