Description
Carboplatin is a platinum-based cross-linking agent that exhibits immunomodulatory and anticancer chemotherapeutic activities. Carboplatin binds DNA with slower kinetics than other platinum drugs, inhibiting DNA transcription and replication; it is clinically used to treat various cancers. Carboplatin also modulates STAT signaling and release of HMGB-1.
