Clozapineisanatypicalantipsychoticthatalsoexhibitssomeimmunosuppressiveactivity.Clozapineisclinicallyusedtotreatmooddisorders.ClozapinebindsKv1.1channels,prolongingtheQTintervalandalsocausesgranulocytosis,limitingitsclinicaluse.ClozapineactsasanantagoNISTatM1/2/3/5muscarinicacetylcholinereceptors(mAChRs)andD2receptors,apartialagonistat5-HT1Areceptors,andasafullagonistatM4mAChRs.Additionally,clozapinebinds5-HT2/3/6/7receptors,D4receptors,α1/2adrenergicreceptors,andhistamineH1receptors.ClozapinealsopotentiatesGABAergicneurotransmission.
