Description
Dermorphin is an opioid peptide originally found in the skin of amphibians; it exhibits analgesic and antinociceptive activities, acting as an agonist at μ-opioid receptors (μORs). In animal models of thermal, mechanical, and chemical pain, dermorphin increases pain thresholds.
