Description
Butylatedhydroxyanisole(BHA)exhibitsantioxidativeandanticanceractivities.BHAiscommerciallyusedasafoodadditiveorpreservative,asitsfreerADIcalscavengingABIlitystabilizesfreeradicalsandpreventsfoodspoilage.BHSalsoincreasesactivityofsuperoxidedismutase(SOD)inbreastcancercells,inhibitingcellularproliferation.Thiscompoundmayalsodisplaycarcinogenicpotential.
