Clobetasol is a corticosteroid that activates glucocorticoid receptors and exhibits anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive activities. Clobetasol is clinically used to treat eczema, psoriasis, contact dermatitis, and several autoimmune diseases. Clobetasol inhibits TNF-α- and CD40L-induced activation of NF-κB in vitro.
