Description
Herbimycin A is a benzoquinone ansamycin antibiotic that also exhibits anticancer activity. Herbimycin A inhibits HSP90, PKC, and some Src family kinases such as Src and Bcr-Abl. Herbimycin A inhibits cell proliferation in various in vitro cancer models, including chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML).
