Description
Lomefloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that is clinically used to treat respiratory and urinary tract infections; it displays antibacterial efficacy by inhibiting DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. Lomefloxacin is primarily active against gram negative aerobic bacteria; it may induce photocleavage of DNA.
