Description
Norethindrone is a progestogen steroid hormone that is clinically used in oral contraceptives. Norethindrone decreases levels of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). Norethindrone also decreases HDL and increases lipid peroxidation due to its high lipophilicity.
