Iberverinisasulforaphanehomologfoundincruciferousvegetables.Thisisothiocyanate(ITC)exhibitsantioxidativeactivity.IberverininducesphaseIIenzymes,increasingglutathione-S-transferaseandquinonereductaseexpressioninvivo.Additionally,iberverinincreasesexpressionofNrf2,γ-glutamylcysteinesynthetase,andhemeoxygenase1(HO-1).Iberverindisplayschemopreventivepotential,decreasingexpressionofandrogenreceptors(ARs)inprostatecancercells.
