Description
Epirubicin is an anthracycline that exhibits anticancer chemotherapeutic activity; it is an isomer of doxorubicin. Epirubicin acts as a DNA intercalator and topoisomerase II inhibitor, inhibiting DNA and RNA synthesis. This compound also increases levels of ROS. Epirubicin is clinically used to treat breast cancer.
